3 PORT
The company 3 PORT d.o.o. develops software applications for the fields of public administration and logistics.
For it we prepared a complete renovation of the current web site which in time greatly outgrew its original design and applied technology.
The characteristics of the original web page were:
- A static web page entirely written in the HTML language.
- Extensive content groups.
- An unattractive look.
- Extensive and lengthy descriptions already in the introductions of each application.
- Unclear navigation.
- Contents were divided into 4 levels and strongly interwoven.
- It was impossible to extend the web site with additional functionalities, such as a forum or a system for accepting requests.
The goals we set with our client were:
- Keep the majority of the current contents.
- Adapt the introductory texts to the demands of a common visitor.
- To give the web page a sophisticated look that would reflect the content and importance of the client's business.
- To organize the navigation, make it easier and user-friendly.
- To simplify content editing and to enable extensibility with one of the CMS systems.
The project involved the following tasks:
- Complete renovation of the company's image.
- Complete renovation of texts on introductory pages with the aid of a content writer.
- Division of content groups/services into integral groups with simple, easy-to-remember names.
- Simplification of the article hierarchy up to 3 levels.
- Introduction of a CMS system.
- Transfer of existent content to the new web site.
- Improved navigation with the use of clear menus, breadcrumbs and other graphic elements that directly or indirectly indicate our location on the web page.
- Integration of a client support forum.
